Founded in 1915 by Dr. Charlotte Pring, Narsapur Christian Hospital has grown from a 2-bed women's ward into a full-service institution — guided always by faith, compassion, and a calling to provide affordable, advanced care.
Dr. Charlotte Pring arrived in Narsapur as a nurse and witnessed pregnant women dying at home rather than attend a male doctor. Despite a congenital hip dislocation that meant she walked with a stick all her life, she returned to England, qualified in medicine, and came back to Narsapur — starting the Ghosha Women's Hospital in 1915 with just 2 beds in a compound that was "all sand and cobras." She handed over in 1946 and passed to be with the Lord in 1953, leaving behind a legacy that has touched hundreds of thousands of lives.
